Interview by Mohamed Shams El-Din – Edited by Rabab Saeed
In a world shaped by rapid economic and technological transformations, only a few individuals manage to secure a place at the forefront, not merely through the size of their investments, but through a clear vision and a firm belief that success is the result of effort, not coincidence.
Among these distinguished figures stands Dr. Aly El Dakroury, Founder and CEO of CTRUSTGLOBAL, a global company with diversified investments across multiple sectors and countries, particularly in citizenship, naturalization, and investment.
Born into an Egyptian family from Upper Egypt, Dr. El Dakroury was raised with a strong belief that building people is the most valuable form of investment. He carried this principle throughout his academic and professional journey, transforming experiences into achievements and challenges into opportunities.
His journey reflects a distinct philosophy of success, one that is not measured solely by numbers or wealth, but by vision, passion, genuine family support, and meaningful societal impact. The UAE, for him, is not just a destination, but a fundamental pillar in his professional path, providing a dynamic and supportive environment for growth and investment.
In this interview, we explore Dr. Aly El Dakroury’s journey, his philosophy of success, his investment vision, and the importance of family and personal support in shaping a successful business leader.
Q1: Let’s start from the beginning… How did studying engineering shape your early steps as a businessman?
Engineering was more than an academic field; it was a school of life. It taught him discipline, logical and practical thinking, and how to build a clear vision. He did not limit himself to becoming just an employed engineer. He also pursued an academic path, and due to his excellence, he was appointed in a related institution, marking his first step toward success.
However, the most difficult decision in his life was not professional, but personal: choosing a life partner who believes in him and understands his journey.
Q2: Was your life partner’s support part of your success?
Absolutely. Success is not built on luck, but on effort, planning, and vision. Achieving goals often requires working almost around the clock, which is not easy. Having a life partner who understands and supports this demanding pace is essential.
Family support is the foundation upon which all achievements are built. There is no success without challenges. Difficulties build determination and push one to grow and overcome obstacles. Having a supportive partner makes the journey possible and meaningful.
- He takes pride in his affiliation with the UAE, where his professional journey began and which became the cornerstone of his career
- He emphasizes that the UAE government has provided safety, stability, and strong support for foreign investors

Q3: Did you have a vision for investments from the beginning? Did you expect to reach this level of success?
Yes, he had a clear vision and strong passion from the very beginning, and he continues to carry that same drive. He constantly strives to act in the best interest of his work, his community, and his family.
He believes that investment must be linked to freedom of movement and capital, as investments are not limited to one place. Investors always seek the most suitable environment.
- He considers the most difficult decision in his life was choosing a life partner who believes in him and understands his journey
- He believes that success does not come without challenges, and that difficulties build determination and drive personal growth
Aly El Dakroury: Every country has the right to choose its own method of attracting capital.
Q4: Through your work in citizenship and investment programs globally, how do you view countries granting citizenship in exchange for investment?
He believes that every country has the right to attract capital to grow its economy. However, the differences between countries depend on their unique capabilities and needs.
It is not only about economic demand, but also about balancing national security with the level of investment required. Some countries offer citizenship as an advantage to investors, but within strict frameworks that ensure both economic growth and national security.

Q5: Why did you choose such a challenging path that requires international trust? Can the world become more unified through investment and citizenship?
His goal was never just wealth, but to leave a meaningful and lasting impact. True impact lies in how wealth is developed sustainably to contribute to building and improving society.
This is why he chose more complex and influential sectors, as they create real value and leave a long-term legacy. While greater global unity is desirable, each country has its own regulations. Freedom of investment and capital movement must operate within clear legal frameworks to ensure sustainability and protect national interests.
- He sees the UAE as a global leader with a unique and forward-looking vision
- He stresses that investment must go hand in hand with freedom of movement and capital
Dr. Aly El Dakroury: I am proud of my affiliation with the UAE.
Q6: What message would you like to address to the UAE and its leadership? Do you see it as an attractive investment destination?
He takes great pride in his connection to the UAE, where his professional journey began and which has been a cornerstone of his career.
The UAE government has provided safety and stability for all residents and has strongly supported foreign investors, making it feel like a second home. He expresses deep appreciation for its wise leadership.
Q7: What core beliefs guide your life and work?
He believes in hard work, sincerity, and credibility, and places family in a sacred position. His word is a commitment, and he takes pride in honoring every agreement. These principles guide both his personal and professional life.
- His goal was never just wealth, but to leave a real and lasting impact through sustainable growth that contributes to society
- He believes every successful businessman can be an outstanding employee, but not every employee can become a successful entrepreneur
Dr. Aly El Dakroury: For me, life is based on upbringing and the family one belongs to.
Q8: You are sometimes received with diplomatic recognition and official appreciation. How do you feel about that?
He expresses a deep sense of satisfaction with what he has achieved. For him, life is built on both the family one is born into and the one one builds.
He and his wife believe that trust and credibility cannot be bought or written, but must be earned through effort, honesty, and sincerity.
Being welcomed in some countries with official recognition and even diplomatic-level receptions reflects acknowledgment of genuine effort. He takes pride not in the status, but in the recognition of sincere and consistent work.

Dr. Aly El Dakroury: Challenges are a natural and integral part of any success story.
Q9: Have you ever failed?
He believes that challenges are a natural and essential part of any journey. Failure is not a flaw, but a necessary stage toward success.
No successful person has avoided failure; in fact, failure is often the true teacher that leads to success. He encourages young people not to fear failure, but to embrace learning from it.
Success does not come quickly, even with financial resources. Business is full of challenges that require patience, persistence, and resilience.
The key is not avoiding failure, but transforming it into success through continuous effort, clear vision, and calculated decisions.
- He believes trust and credibility are earned, not bought
- He believes every country has the right to attract capital to grow its economy, based on its own capabilities and conditions
Businessman Aly El Dakroury: Not every talent is suited to the same path.
Q10: What percentage of entrepreneurs fail versus succeed?
He believes that every individual is given unique talents, but not every talent fits the same path. Not every successful businessman can be an excellent employee, and not every professional employee can become a successful entrepreneur.
It is primarily a matter of managerial instinct, beyond academic knowledge or experience. While it is difficult to define exact percentages, many who fail lack persistence or true aptitude.
Dr. Aly El Dakroury
Those with clear vision and determination see failure as a stage in the journey, not the end. On the other hand, those who stop trying may not be suited for entrepreneurship, but can still be highly successful professionals in their own fields.
